www.longplays.org Played by JonL Half-Life: Blue Shift Developer: Gearbox Software Released: Sierra Entertainment 2001 Source port used: Steam version ** Plot As with Gearbox's previous expansion pack Opposing Force, Blue Shift returns to the setting and events of the original game, but portrays the story through the eyes of another person. The protagonist in Blue Shift is a security guard, Barney Calhoun, employed by the Black Mesa Research Facility. After a scientific mishap causes Black Mesa to be invaded by aliens, Calhoun must fight his way to safety. ** Notes The Steam version is the closest to the original that I could find, although the initial menu is different. The game included a High Definition pack that upgraded the models and textures in both Blue Shift and the preceding Half-Life games. This longplay does not use this pack.

www.longplays.net Played By RickyC METAL GEAR! awesome series, not played since forever so i didn't play that good and only on normal. I get the good ending but add the bad ending on at the end. I forgot how good the voice acting is on this! Could not get this emulation right to save my life! thought it be way easier, so there are glitches in this video. I normally solve the glitch later on though. THe worst is the stealth slowdown, the random image during president baker, some other slowdown during the lift. Oh and in some cut scenes the filter screws up i think, so people look blurry for that bit. Shouldnt of used filters but i didnt know much about them when i started the recording. Lastly, i had to run though this a couple of times because of the game crashing and me not using proper saves! So my equipment might change at some point and the end results won't be accurate to what you have seen. By the end i had a million files so i hope i edited them together right and edited out all my save state loading. Couldnt catch any myself though screen goes black for a second after a boss battle when i reset the emulator.

Despite the name, the game is an amalgamation of various elements of the 194x series.[2] For example, it includes health meter and bomb system from 1943: The Battle of Midway; charge-fire, land-based battle sections; and rank increases from 1941: Counter Attack, fighter lineup, bomb-based end-level bonus, level rank system from 19XX:The War Against Destiny.

www.longplays.org Played By Connor In 2009/2010, Square Enix released their first Final Fantasy on the "next-gen" platforms of the era. It was a rather large departure from the usual FF-fare, in that it is not only very linear, but also has almost no side-quests. The story takes place on Gran Pulse, either on the surface of the planet or the floating city of Cocoon. Lightning, Sazh, Vanille and three other characters battle the theocratic government (the Sancum) and the godlike beings known as fal'Cie. The main video is a slow and steady progress through the game, with no major sidetracking. The "Datalog" give information about many things in and around the world, which are read at the beginning of each chapter. The only real side-quest, the "Cie'th Missions", are mostly tackled in the bonus video. Some are done in the main playthrough, in chapter 11, but there are over 60 in total. Expect LOTS of backtracking in the bonus-video, I was too lazy to edit it properly. The bonus video also contains the animations for all summons and their special abilities, as well as the unique ability each character gets. Finally, we beat up on the most powerful boss in the game (the final Cie'th mission) and also the most powerful non-boss enemies in the world and get ultimate weapons (and ponies!) for everyone. Atari ST Longplay [009] Karateka

www.longplays.org Played By Georgc3 I admit that Tempest 2000 for the Atari Jaguar was originally going to be my next longplay. But I decided to do this instead since no one did a walkthrough of this Game. Just a short demos that's it. So decided to do this game. I have seen someone play this on Apple II at the Boys & Girls Club when I was little. A really good classic side-scrolling beat 'em up game with 1-on-1 elements. This game was originally released for Apple II in 1984. Then ported to Atari 8-bit and NES later the same year and other platforms such as commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Dos, and other. This is the first time I played the Atari ST Version as I've only played the Dos and NES versions. There are no special moves here. All you have is basic punches and kicks, walk, and run and that's it.I first played on Steem Engine emulator. But somehow, the last level was buggy. It went blank for long periods of time preventing me from reaching the final boss. Then it went to Atari ST desktop screens. So I gave up on Steem emulator. So I used SainT emulator with avi output and it's emulated perfectly with no bugs able to reach the final boss and ending with no problems. I wanted to record this at 60 fps but only let me record up 50 fps so I'm stuck with this. I also made a lot of mistakes so Save States had to be use so they are corrected. If you want to play this game get SainT emulator instead. Use Steem Engine emulator for other games. This game was created by Jordan ...

www.longplays.org Played by Kubbles Yes, there were GTA games before 3. For this longplay, I complete all 66 missions in the game. For some reason, the mission counter glitched in the second area and showed 23/22 missions completed, so you can say I completed 67 out of 66 missions if you want. Also, I play on the Pc version because its way superior to the PSX version. The story is set "three weeks into the future" wherein you play as Claude Speed and have to collect a crapload of money. That's about it. As with GTA tradition, the game is split into three areas; Downtown, the Residential District, and the Industrial District. Each area has three feuding gangs with seven "jobs" each. Kill members of one gang to gain the respect of another, etc etc. After the credits, I added a little bonus where I play some of the unlockable minigames. I'm not very good at them. And remember, respect is everything.

www.longplays.org Played by Kubbles A strange little PSx game that stars Bruce Willis as the lead character in a fight to prevent the end of the world. He then summons the four horsemen to bring judgement day to earth. Trey Kincaid, who had been sent to prison for practicing science, must defeat the four horsemen and save mankind from certain doom. Fun Facts: -Bruce Willis provides the voice of the lead character, although his involvement with the game was limited. -The game's engine was later reworked by Neversoft and used for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. PS3 Longplay [014] God of War (Part 1 of 5)

www.longplays.org Played by D-Skott God of War was first released in North America on March 22, 2005. Kratos is introduced as having been the servant of the gods for ten years, and is tasked by Athena with finding Pandora's Box, the key to defeating Ares, the God of War. Through a series of flashbacks it is revealed that Kratos was once the servant of Ares (who saved the Spartan and his army from annihilation) in battle, and tricked him into killing his family, forcing his metamorphosis into the "Ghost of Sparta." Kratos eventually locates the Box, and after finally killing Ares, ascends to Olympus to become the new God of War. This PS3 version is a remastered port of the PS2 game. On the PS3 it's released under the name God of War Collection. I played it on Hero (normal) difficulty and I missed a few chests (so many to keep track of). Timeline in the God of War series: - God of War: Chains of Olympus (PSP/PS3) - God of War (PS2/PS3) - God of War: Ghost of Sparta (PSP/PS3) - God of War: Betrayal (mobile game) - God of War II (PS2/PS3) - God of War III (PS3)

Game Gear Longplay [013] Megaman

www.longplays.org Played by Nitrogenesis Mega Man for the Game Gear is a game that is a mix of Mega Man 4/5. Some things: - Star Man is colored green on the boss select screen (what?) - Bright Man's weapon is different. Instead of freezing time in short bursts, it acts more like the Gravity Hold or Centaur Flash and damages everything on screen. - Power Stone is vastly improved because if the shot misses, you can shoot again even if any other stones are on the screen. -For some reason, Wave Man's music is replaced with Gravity Man's music. A snippet of Wave Man's original tune can be heard in the Game Over screen. -Quick Man's stage is brought back as a Wily stage. The lasers don't kill you in one hit and you can slide, making it a lot easier. You don't fight Quick Man though. -The ending stages are kind of weird. The first two (Wave/Toad) take place in Cossack Citadel, then for the last level you go to the Skull Castle, and then after you've beaten that, Mega Man blows up Cossack Citadel for the hell of it. WTF? -Wave Man doesn't have a weakness. Bright Man 01:33 Napalm Man 06:29 Stone Man 11:35 Star Man 18:21 Wave Man 22:43 Toad Man 27:52 Skull Castle 32:58 Wily 35:26

During his escape from RuptureFarms, Abe received a vision from the mysterious Big Face, showing Abe that he must not only rescue his fellow Mudokons, but also protect all of Oddworld's creatures from the predatory Magog Cartel. After completing arduous Temple trials, and journeying across a wasteland with his faithful Elum, Abe was granted the awesome power of the Shrykull. Returning to RuptureFarms, Abe destroyed the foul slaughterhouse, rescued his buddies, and brought down some righteous lightning on top of Molluck's pointy head. The oddworld games are my favorite. This is the first game in the series. It has a crappy savegame option and it is easy to bypass secret areas that you have already done when you restore. It should not be so hard to do and I've done that several times before. First half of the game where you follow the story and are told where to go is fun to play, but its the second half doing spice and army management that grinds abit. Youd be forgiven for skipping a good few hours of video ;) I lowered the music volume (ingame) as its much louder then voices by default, but it seems to have caused clipping/popping errors in the audio. Cant confirm if thats game or kega emu bug. Some of the music sounds ok for fm synth but perhaps better exeuted in the dos Adlib version. PS3 Longplay [011] Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (Part 1 of 8)

www.longplays.org Played by Connor The sequel to the acclaimed Uncharted, Among Thieves keeps all the good parts, improves on the average and removes the bad, making it an all-around better game. Naughty Dog still mix it up with platforming, shooter and brawler. The puzzles are _slightly_ less obvious, but still not really brain-teasers by any stretch of the imagination. Since my first was well received, I just did more of the same as well. Tried to take it slow and show off as much as possible of the environments and trigger all easter eggs and hidden conversations. This game is a bit easier than the prequel, so I could vary the weapons a bit more without trouble. The bonus-movie consist of the three available co-op missions, showing off most of the unlockables (skins and tweaks of the world) and the ever-present Behind-the-Scenes movies that ND include on the disc. There are Matroska-chapters embedded in both files, so if you have a player that can show them, it is easy to jump to different parts of the movies. If you want more information on what's going on, download the subtitle-file for running commentary. I keep it at a minimum, only explaining game-mechanics and such, so it's not a Let's Play.

You can play as the Robot Masters by beating them without using a Charge Shot with Mega Man C or boss weakness. As a Robot Master, the one being played is replaced by Mega Man? Yes, the question mark is included). There is Old Style for those who are familiar with the NES version. It has original 8-bit music, stage layout, and even the Magnet Beam, which still requires the Super Arm. It isn't in super-stretchy widescreen mode. For this playthrough, I play New Style as Mega Man and play all stages on Hard (no Mega Man C. It voids any challenge dealing with navigating and enemies. Charge Shot wrecks everything, even shielded enemies.) There will a LOT of dying, but mainly at the bosses since the patterns have changed (example: Bomb Man uses 2 bombs, Guts Man special attack is pretty darn fast, Yellow Devil gets a goddamn laser.)
